Regulatory Affairs Specialist/Expert

(fulltime)


Location: Made, the Netherlands

Department: Quality & Regulatory Affairs

Reports to: Global Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager


The main mission of the Regulatory Specialist role is to provide leadership across projects, products, and practices, by partnering with internal stakeholders ensuring that official and internal seed regulatory strategies, and requirements associated with Hazera’s freedom to operate are met. The Regulatory Specialist will work closely in cross-functional partnership and act as the main point of contact for seed regulatory aspects for Hazera BU. She/He will provide leadership to the Regulations Committee by being an active animator of a new changes in Regulation.



Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Follow the seed regulation of Hazera's global activities and share the relevant topics with internal stakeholders
  • Drive, chair and maintain the change in the Regulations Committee. Provide leadership to the Regulation Committee set up and teams – including Commercial, Legal, R&D, Supply Chain, and relevant Regulatory Leaders and Assistants
  • Initiate and lead Regulatory work process improvement projects
  • Provide technical guidance regarding changes in seeds related regulation, defining scope, who to involve and clear timeliness of implementation
  • Maintain the established CRC (change in regulations committee) tracking system (Monday tool)
  • Maintain upper management awareness about future state of seed regulation and asses upfront possible risks & potential impacts
  • Increase the awareness and communication among critical departments impacted once seed regulation changes occur in the Hazera BU
  • Act as the main point-of-contact for seed regulatory aspects for Hazera towards the rest of the LG group
  • Support the quality assurance department mainly on the documentation system and definition of new processes that are in compliance with the regulation of the relevant country

Job requirements


Candidate profile: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Agriculture/Life Sciences/Industrial Engineering or similar
  • A minimum 2-3 years experience in a relevant Regulatory Affairs role (seed industry would be a plus)
  • Process orientation and operational understanding
  • Excellent monitoring and reporting skills combined with detailed orientation
  • Self-motivated combined with strong sense of ownership and result orientation
  • Strong analytical skills and digital data management skills
  • Ability to lead tasks and projects and engage others in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to collaborate with peers from various departments within an organization
  • Change Management skills
  • Fluent in English & Dutch 
  • Very good presentation and communication skills
