For our R&D Department in Warmenhuizen, North-Holland, we are looking for a 

Phytopathology Project Lead Allium & Crucifers

In this position you will be responsible for the research projects on phytopathology in Allium and Crucifers, aiming to discover new  traits and to develop new protocols and technologies for our global breeding programs.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Initiating, leading and executing multidisciplinary research projects aimed at protocol development, disease trait identification & disease trait evaluation.

• Executing and management trial abroad.

• Strengthening the knowledge base of the company within the Phytopathology domain of Allium and Crucifers.

• Expanding Hazera Seeds freedom ­to ­operate and intellectual property position.

• Maintaining, building and leveraging internal and external networks to support delivery of business goals.

Candidate profile:

• PhD in Phytopathology or Plant Science

• Background in populations genetics - Advantage

• Publication in Phytopathology - Advantage

• Dutch and English speaking
