We are looking for a


 Commercial Manager (BeNeLux)


The Commercial Manager will be responsible for further strengthening Hazera’s commercial position in the BeNeLux region.

He/she will work on a strategic level to create a multiyear vision and planning that secures sustainable commercial growth in the region. For this, he/she will work closely with the Commercial Director Europe.

On a daily basis, he/she will manage a team of 15 people consisting of sales-, product development-, market intelligence- and business support specialists. The Commercial Manager will develop and maintain a high performing team by acting as the glue between the specialists, driving the personal development and the cooperation within the team. He/she will create a positive goal-oriented culture within the team.

He/she will also drive the continuous optimization of operational- and commercial processes, aligned with the global strategy. The outcome will be that the commercial activities, funnel and sales numbers will be managed with predictability.

Job requirements


Strategy

  • Makes a multiyear strategic plan for the BeNeLux region together with the Product Managers and the Commercial Director Europe.
  • Translates market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape in business opportunities for the region.


Sales Management

  • Cascades the Hazera strategy to the team and translates it to the crop strategy plans.
  • Manages the execution of the sales and price strategy.
  • Coordinates cross-BU sales within the Limagrain Group.
  • Coordinates cross-border sales with peers in other regions.
  • Evaluates business cases made by the Crop Sales Managers.
  • Helps the Crop Sales Managers to drive share of wallet and retention by developing a strategy for the (potential) key accounts.
  • Drives efficiency by the implementation of the strategy for the long tail customers.
  • Implements the Customer Excellence initiatives aligned with the global strategy.
  • Improves Sales force effectiveness by analyzing sales processes and identifying areas for improvement.


Leadership

  • Acts as the glue between the different specialists in the team.
  • Develops and maintains a high performing team by optimizing team dynamics, i.e. through improving the way of working and clear roles and responsibilities.
  • Empowers people to take initiative and coach them towards personal-, team- and departmental growth, among others through personal development plans.
  • Identifies personal training needs required to execute the commercial strategy.
  • Creates buy-in and manages changes processes.
  • Sparring partner, inspirator, and coach for the team.


Driving P&L

  • Manages Sales budget.
  • Manages the demand forecast.
  • Manages overdues and DSO in line with the company policy.
  • Tracks the progress of the execution of the strategic plan and facilitates the resolution of gaps.


Essential:

  • Master degree in agriculture, horticulture (or economy).
  • 10+ years of professional experience with at least 5 years in sales management, strategy, leadership, and/or business development.
  • Experience in the horticultural/agriculture business environment.
  • Experience with driving the optimization of commercial processes.
  • Savviness in working with software applications like CRM and planning tools.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (both regional and global).
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.


Desirable:

  • Experience in leading cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
  • Experience in working in a global organization.
