Commercial Excellence Manager
Role overview:
The Commercial Excellence Manager will play a key role in optimizing Hazera’s commercial strategy and business models by:
Continuously assessing and optimizing the customer segmentation and go-to-market strategy to maximize return on investment (ROI) and profitable growth.
Actively working to improve sales methodologies, commercial policies, sales processes, and sales campaigns.
Supporting the Global Head of Sales and CBC Directors in making business recommendations as well as tracking the performance of commercial operations.
Working cross-functionally with commercial leadership, finance, marketing and sales, human resources, supply chain and other functions to deliver regional & global business targets.
Job requirements
Conducting market research studies to benchmark business trends, marketing- and sales effectiveness, customer business trends.
Evaluating current customer segmentation, go-to-market strategies, business models and suggest improvements and/or efficiencies.
Contributing to sales and marketing strategic decisions and plays a critical role in designing and monitoring commercial approach.
Establishing a commercial operating methodology that enables the business to manage the commercial activities, sales funnel, sales numbers, with rigor and predictability.
Translating strategic objectives into operational plans.
Monitoring and steers sales campaigns based on ROI.
Driving continuous improvement in the commercial (sales and operations) processes.
Identifying and supporting the roll-out of tools related to: Sales activities such as Key Account Management, Account planning, Analytics tools (margin management, CRM, etc).
Leading global commercial excellence initiatives.
Setting KPIs linked with performance and continuous marketing and sales improvements.
Assessing business performance, identify performance gaps and drivers, develops action plans and deploys resources as needed; can perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by business.
Coaching team members to deliver high performance and promote a ROI mindset.
Working within the company and with other Business Units to drive alignment, execution, accountability and results.
Management expectations:

Fosters best practice and knowledge sharing across Sales Areas/Regions.
Develops managerial processes, meetings and forums to steer the commercial teams and ensure regional coordination, governance, and execution.

Candidate profile:

Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales (MBA will be an advantage).
Minimum 10 years of experience in Business (Sales & Marketing); experience in the seed industry or consulting for the agribusiness industry would be an advantage (need to prove a track record of marketing and sales excellence and commercial transformations with clear outcomes and financial results).
Proficient with MS Office & CRM (Microsoft Dynamics, forecasting & pricing tools)
Fluency in English is a must (any other languages will be a plus).

Travel Requirements: 25 to 30%.
